Life Insurance

  • Life insurance is about making sure your dependents would have the money they need if you were no longer around. Life cover provides a lump sum if you die or become terminally ill with less than 12 months to live.

Family Income Benefit

  • Family income benefit, or FIB, is a type of term life insurance policy that will give your family regular financial support if you die or are diagnosed with a terminal illness.

    What makes FIB different to standard life insurance is that it pays out an ongoing monthly income, rather than a lump sum.

    • As a policyholder, you pay a monthly premium, and cover remains in place for a specified length of time. If you die during that time, your loved ones will get a tax-free income to help replace your lost earnings.

    • A family monthly income could help your dependants stay on top of mortgage payments or rent, along with other bills.

Critical Illness Cover (CIC)

  • Illness is a fact of life. Some illnesses only keep us off work for a few days but others can be serious. Rehabilitation can mean a lengthy time not earning, plus you might need costly care. And that’s on top of your usual outgoings – mortgage or rent, food and bills.

    That’s why Critical Illness Protection is worth considering. It pays out if you’re diagnosed with a critical illness, giving you valuable cash to help cope during a very traumatic and uncertain time.

    • Pays a lump sum if you die, become terminally ill, or are diagnosed with a critical illness

    • Spend the sum on anything you like such as medical and everyday expenses

    • The provider will have a set list of accepted conditions.

Income Protection

  • Income protection insurance is a valuable way to safeguard your finances if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury. It provides a monthly income to help cover your living expenses when you can’t earn your usual salary.

    • It replaces part of your income if you suffer a loss of earnings due to becoming ill or injured and are unable to work

    • Income protection covers you until you have recovered or until retirement, death, your policy ends or until the limited claim period on your policy ends - whichever is sooner

    • You can claim as many times as you need to – while the policy lasts

    • Starts to pay after a set deferred period (a period you have to be out of work for before the policy starts to pay.

Private Medical Insurance

  • Health insurance can give you easy access to private medical treatment and consultations.

    • You pay a premium, and the provider covers all or some of the costs of treatment for you, your partner, or any family members that are on the policy.

    • They cover a range of acute short-term illnesses or injuries, as well as all stages of treatment for cancer. Aviva’s insurance gives you the flexibility to enhance or reduce this cover according to your budget and needs.

    • Please note, Aviva don’t cover chronic conditions (except cancer) or any pre-existing conditions  you had before you took out your policy with us.

    • Private treatment could mean shorter wait times, so you don’t have to put your health on hold. You'll also get added benefits, like 24/7 access to GP video consultations and discounts on health and fitness clubs.
